Every day our designers seek inspiration on multiple websites, in various magazines and on current social media platforms to stay up to date on new trends in design and decoration. Here are some of the Instagram accounts that they like to follow.
Focusing almost exclusively on Australia (her home country), Lucy Feagins covers design in its many forms: architecture, interior, exterior, crafts and even food design. Each picture make us want to find out more about new designers, artists and creators of all kinds.
Even though their account is named MY Interior, we’re pretty sure that the pics are not property of the person that’s posting them. That’s why we go there for inspiration but we don’t actually follow their account.
Born in 2002, Artemano stands out on Instagram. They love to post a complete decor divided in 4 or 6 pictures. A rather original way to view a whole room on a desktop or a tablet, but a little less interesting to see on a cellphone.
An easy go-to in our work field, Apartment Therapy started on the web as a simple newsletter that was sent by its founder Maxwell Ryn to his subscribed clients, their friends and other collaborators. In 2004, and with the help of his brother Oliver, he launched the blog that quickly become a design leader.
Since its foundation in Milan in 1999, designboom was the first magazine covering architecture, art, design and technology ever created. And still one of the most popular!
And on a more local note…
We also like to look out for what being shared about design in cities where we have showrooms.
This interior design/architect firm from Calgary shares a ton of ongoing projects on their Instagram account. We like that their pictures have more of an unfiltered feel to them.
Our old friends! Very good with their hands, the guys from Vieux Bois (translates to Old Wood) deconstruct old barns, recycle the wood and rebuild furniture and kitchen cabinets using this wood. Their Instagram account has a raw and kinda funky vibe to it…just like these great woodworkers.
Textures and materials are the shining stars here! When they receive samples or if they’re brainstorming a project, they share it on Instagram. We’d like for them to share more stuff though…
House & Home explores every nook and cranny of the house through their Instagram account. From the hall to the basement and from the table to the yard, we find their posts very inspiring.
It’s everything bathroom for Aquabrass. Of course, they emphasize on the plumbing fixtures and the equipment, but we’re often able to see the general design of the space.
